About Debbie Kolze

As a corporate escapee and planning an early retirement, Debbie Kolze founded My Home Economist to fulfill a need to do something on her own. After helping many of her friends and relatives with getting their lives back on track through organizing, Debbie saw this as the key to her own business and a way to help people. This innate organizing skill, along with training and practice in organizing have allowed Debbie to become a seasoned clutter coach.

As a Professional Organizer, Debbie will help you put order in your current life and help you plan for your future life. However, Debbie will teach you how to get organized and stay organized from top to bottom. You may have a cleaning service, and that's great, but is your home organized? Cleaning services are useful, but they don’t eliminate clutter from your closets, organize your cabinets, and sort all those papers.

As a baby boomer and late bloomer in determining what she really wanted to be when grown up, Debbie understands what’s facing you in your fifties. Choices, desires, to do something and be somewhere different are a priority for you now. Debbie can help you choose, follow through and get where you want to go literally and figuratively. She can do this through life coaching. As a certified professional life coach, Debbie is trained to get you out of your stuck spot. She will help you clarify what is truly important to you, taking a different perspective, and digging deep to find what’s best for you. Debbie helps you make the toughest choices with decisions with the clutter in your life, no matter whether it is within you or around you.

Once you've organized or downsized your kitchen and yourself, keep it that way by organizing your meals. As a home economist Debbie can put together a healthy meal for 6 at a moments notice -- including appetizers and desserts. She will teach you how to do that too. But more importantly you will learn how to cook meals for yourself, your family and friends the way you really want to.

Debbie will work with you to determine your specific needs and to design a personalized service package to include any one or a combination of My Home Economist services.

Debbie lives in a suburb of Chicago with her husband and dog. She is an active volunteer in her townhouse community, acts as a foster mom for small dog rescue organizations, and has provided pro bono coaching to young leaders in the AmeriCorp organization through AmeriCoach.
